Planned Parenthood… bad

Please visit this 2-minute presentation on Planned Parenthood, and how our tax dollars are going there and supporting pro-choice and abortions!  Also, please sign the petition at the end of the presentation if you are over 18 (if not, you can still learn from the presentation)

The U.S. Senate has proposed to defund the Planned Parenthood Organization, and the ACLJ is trying to make it happen.  They need names on petions and need people to call their US Senators (That would be Maria Cantwell http://cantwell.senate.gov/contact/office_locations.cfm).

  1. Thank you for keeping us updated about this, Betsy!

The U.S. Senate is trying to stop it? That’s good, right? Does it need signatures to help pass the “law” and is that why we need a petition?

(sorry for asking more questions than actually commenting!)

  2. Actually, I don’t know a lot of info about this, but what I do know is that the ACLJ is collecting signatures, not the U.S. Senate, to use as evidence and persuasion power and get a feel for what we, the people, think about this. I also know that Sen. David Vitter wrote a bill in Congress to defund the Planned Parent Hood from our tax dollars, and the ACLJ is running a campaign in support of this bill. Check out the ACLJ’s website at http://www.aclj.org to find out more info on this. Thanks for commenting!

  3. Okay but, sorry! 1) I’m not old enough; 2) It’s probably too late by now; and 3) I’m afraid to call Maria Cantwell . . . will get into “talking” quite disrespectfully if I don’t watch it! *smile*

But I will forward this to some people if it isn’t too lare. . .

  4. Lampie:
Even though you aren’t old enough, there is a lot you can do. (forwarding and telling others about it)

Even if it’s too late, you can still try. It wouldn’t hurt. Plus, it will inform other people.

About being afraid of Mrs. Cantwell, you only talk to her secretary because Cantwell is pretty busy and travels a lot. And, you can make it short so that you don’t start talking disrespectfully. 🙂
