Happy Holidays…

Here is a link to an e-card a friend sent me: http://www.dayspring.com/ecards/predesign.asp (the store greeter one)

What do you think?

Just thought you’d enjoy this. Don’t be afraid to say Merry Christmas! I was in the Fred Meyer and the cashier said, “Happy holidays!” I replied, “Merry Christmas!” She smiled and said, “Merry Christmas”. It’s just that they are told to say it so they don’t “offend” anyone, but you can say whatever you want. They say it to encompass Christmas, Hanukkah, and other religious December holidays, but when you say Merry Christmas, they will know that it won’t “offend” you for them to say Merry Christmas in return. But, one problem is that it offends me when someone says happy holidays!… being politically correct offends me. What a mess!

Are you offended by political correctness, or do you like people to say happy holidays?

Merry Christmas to you all, and have a wonderful New Years!

  1. It’s kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth, like the comic I posted on my site by BC, it’s just sad!

Usually I don’t bother, I know the clerks have to be P.C. It’s retarded though, people try to have everyone be tolerent but it doesn’t work. It’s God’s way, no other way.

    Anyway, Merry Christmas!

  2. Exactly Betsy! If people don’t get offended by our “Merry Christmas” greeting, then this would totally overhaul many of these proposals to adopt this “Happy Holiday” greeting. There is no problem in the status quo! (Eek . . . I’m too much into debate!)

    Merry Christmas!
