Stem Cell Research URGENT

I received an urgent letter from the ACLJ yesterday about stem cell research: “The newly liberal House of Representatives quickly passed a controversial bill (H.3) – with a vote of 253 to 174 – that would designate federal funds be used to DESTROY human embryos for the purpose of stem cell research.

This legislation will allow federal funds for embryonic stem cell research.  This is a moral and ethical issue that demands the attention of conservative, pro-life Americans!  We must take action now and stop this legislation in its tracks.  Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our Petition to Protect Human Life to the U.S. Senate.

Petition to Protect Human Life

Senator Maria Cantwell

Senator Patty Murray

As a concerned citizen of
America, and one who believes in the sanctity of each human life, I am outraged at the “under the radar” move by the U.S. House of Representatives to pass legislation which designates federal funds for embryonic stem cell research.  This type of research destroys a human life.  It is unnecessary.  And it is morally and ethically wrong.  As the Senate Bill (S.5) comes to the floor for debate and consideration, I join with the ACLJ and thousands of pro-life citizens and urge you to take a stand and vote “NO” for the sake of the innocent lives at stake.

Add your name to the group of 24650 people who have already signed using the Internet!  Sign the petition Today! (You must be 18 years or older to sign, so for those of you who are younger, you can still do something!  Please pass this on to other people!)  https://www.aclj.org/Petition/Default.aspx?sc=3261&ac=1

It will be voted on the Senate soon, so please call/e-mail our State Senators Cantwell and Murray and ask them to not support this bill (S-5)!  Contact info? Cantwell: http://cantwell.senate.gov/
Murray: http://murray.senate.gov/ (I went to http://apps.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/Default.aspx and typed in my address.  Then I scrolled to the bottom of the results and it has their info along with Norm Dicks who is WA states Representative.)
